Splits are part of a series of
newer installations that are ordered by their physical shape and placement in space,
and the behavior of sound in and around them. Each Split
consists of a space or volume that is separated by
one or more planes or surfaces that effect the behavior of
sound around, within, and through both surface and space.
Generally, the sound materials introduced into a Split are
built and tuned according to the types and kinds of sounds
that occur in the designated space.
